- Jet Express Ferry
The Jet Express is the fastest way to Put-in-Bay. It arrives right downtown, a short 5 minute walk from Ashley's Island House. Guests enjoy a fast and scenic trip across the water from Port clinton or Sandusky. Check the Jet website for rates and schedules.
- Miller Ferry
The Miller Ferry arrives on the back end of the island and is the only vehicle ferry servicing the island. Lines can be long on peak weekend arrival/departure timeframes, so plan ahead. There are numerous free lighted parking lots on the mainland to park your car. Check the Miller website for rates and schedules.
- 3W2 Airport
The Put-in-Bay Airport is open for arrivals and departures from dawn to dusk. Our runways are not lit and no departures are permitted after dusk. On arrival, we recommend a taxi to get to our Guesthouse, as it is a very long walk. Check their website for pilot details and FAA information.
During the season, taxis can be found 24/7 on the island. Whether you need a quick trip to/from the ferry or a comfortable right back from downtown if it rains, you can almost always find a taxi van going by within a minute or two. The average rate is about $3 per person, plus tip.
- Golf Carts
Golf carts are the primary choice of transportation on Put-in-Bay. The unofficial estimate for number of golf carts on the island is over 800. There are many sizes to choose from depending on your transportation needs including 4-, 6-, and 8-person carts. The average rate is around $60 for a daily rental.
